Poble Espanyol, a mix of tradition and modernity. Poble Espanyol is architecture, music, art…, a real cultural trip at the foot of Montjuïc.

Francesc Folguera and Ramón Reventós created this place due to the International Exposition in 1929. The aim was reproducing life-size buildings, squares and streets from all across the Spanish territory. They chase these places after visiting 1,600 towns of the Peninsula. Poble Espanyol also pays tribute to craftwork. If you visit this place you will be able to see more than 20 craftsmen working in situ.

Fran Daurel Museum and Guinovart Space puts the artistic touch. The first one collects the best of contemporary Spanish art with works of Dalí, Picasso and Miró. The Guinovart Space organises different temporary exhibitions. Do you prefer to enjoy art outdoors? Discover the Sculpture Garden, a place where, apart from sculptures, you will also find great views of Barcelona from its viewpoint.

What to do this summer in Barcelona? Poble Espanyol offers plans for all tastes: ‘Blues Nights’, every Thursday from June to September at 9pm; ‘RiuEstiu’, the Summer Festival of Humour in Barcelona, celebrated every Saturday in July and August. Without any doubt, the most awaited events are Lenny Kravitz concert on 5 July and Share Festival, the solidary festival that will count with artists such as Rita Ora and Álvaro Soler.

Do you feel like travelling from Andalusia to Galicia without leaving Barcelona? A Saturday of laughter or a Thursday night to the rhythm of blues? Poble Espanyol offers this and much more!
