  • Collection points

    Pre-purchase your Barcelona iVenture Card through our official agents or online and you can pick up from our Collection Points in Barcelona. If you purchase your package online simply select the 'Pick up Card on Arrival' option in the Shipping Method section of the Checkout process. Details of all collection points will be printed on your receipt.

    Please remember you will be required to bring with you your receipt of purchase and present it to the staff at the Collection Point. Please allow 24 hours for your package to be available for pick up.

    What is an Attraction Pass/iVenture Card package?

    Each Attraction Pass/ iVenture Card package includes a range of attractions, experiences  and popular things to do all on a single smartcard. Each iVenture Card is loaded with one iVenture package which includes entry to a selection of individual experiences such as cruises, tours or attractions. Your choice of experiences varies depending on which package you choose.

    Each package provides you with complete flexibility to create your own itinerary and convenience to see the things you want to see when you want. Each Package comes packed with a guide to all participating attractions so all you need to do is show your card and have all the fun!

    What are the benefits of an Attraction Pass/ iVenture Card package?

    With your iVenture Card package you will receive amazing savings and value whether travelling alone or with your family and friends. Every package offers free admission to large range of attractions and experiences and the convenience of having it combined on one prepaid smartcard.

    Does the Attraction Pass/ iVenture Card package come with a guide?

    Yes. Every iVenture card package comes with an easy-reference, colour guide with a map which provides details on participating operators including address, contact details and special offers. Operator details do change from time to time, so it is recommended that you view our online list of attractions and operator websites for the most up-to-date information.

    Is there an Attraction Pass/ iVenture Card Package for children

    Yes, there is a large range of exciting attractions, which kids will love. Our range of attractions packages is available for children aged between 3 and 13.  Children who are 14 or older will need an Adult package. Children under 3 are subject to fees payable to individual attractions.

    Do you have a family Attraction Pass/ iVenture Card package?

    No. There are currently no family packages available and each member of your party will require their own package. However the savings are substantial for family groups too. 

    How long is the Attraction Pass/ iVenture package valid for?

    Since the activation, you have 7 days until the card expires.

    Do I have to use my Attraction Pass/ iVenture Card in consecutive days?

    Yes, you have 7 consecutive days.

    What time does the Barcelona Attraction Pass package run out?

    Your Barcelona Attraction Pass package is valid for calendar days, not for 24-hour periods. It will run out on the final day of the 7 days duration.

    Does the Attraction Pass/ iVenture card need to be signed?

    Yes. All cardholders need to sign the card – both adults and children. For security purposes we recommend that you sign the card as soon as you receive it. Please note that once signed, no refunds or exchanged can be made.

    I have made a purchase on the webpage/app but I am not sure if it has been processed correctly. How can I know it?

    If the transaction has been processed correctly, you will receive a confirmation via email. Anyway, if you have coverage problems, do not make the purchase more than once until you receive the confirmation.

    I have made a purchase on the webpage/app but I have not received the voucher. What do I have to do?

    If you make a purchase and do not receive any email with the vouchers attached, please, contact us in customers-bcn@city-tour.com and we will send them to you.

  • Attractions and other venues

    Do I need to show ID needed at the attraction or venue?

    No. Your iVenture Card is all you need to gain access to the attraction or venue. You will be asked to sign the back of your card before you start to use it. Once you reach your chosen attractions or venues, simply present your card at the admissions point.

    Do the iVenture Card packages include all attractions in a city or region?

    iVenture Card packages offer entry to a large range of the best attractions and venues available in a city or region. The range for each location varies by package and our range is growing all the time. Up to date information about the attractions in each package can be viewed in the included Attractions tab located in each package page.

    Are the attractions or venues open at all times?

    Many of our attractions or venues change their operating hours each day and throughout the course of the year. We recommend contacting them directly to confirm their opening times or visiting their websites to confirm details.

    Can I return to the same attraction using my iVenture Card?

    No. The iVenture Card is designed to show you around the city and see as much as you can, different attractions and experiences.

  • Planning

    Do I have to pre-book for any tours?

    No.  However due to limited availability on selected tours and experiences, we do recommend that you call ahead to reserve your place and we have noted this on these attraction in your easy-reference guide that accompanies your iVenture card package and also on each attraction listing online.

    Can I book in advance for any tours?

    Some of the attractions and experiences do need to be booked in advance. Phone numbers and booking procedures can be found in your iVenture Card package guide. Moreover, you can contact us through info@iventurecard.es.

    Are there any special conditions for the attractions or other venues?

    Sometimes special conditions will apply. These may include height restrictions, opening restrictions or holiday supplements to be paid to the operator. Where special conditions apply, they have been noted with the operator listings in your iVenture Card package guide or view each attraction listing for the most up-to-date information.

    Can I buy an iVenture Card package as a gift?

    Yes.  iVenture Card packages are an excellent gift for, kids, friends and relatives. When they start using their iVenture cards, they can simply sign the reverse. Cards are activated at the first time it is used

    Can I purchase an iVenture Card package prior to arrival?

    Yes and we recommend it. iVenture Card packages can be purchased at barcelona.city-tour.com.

  • Transport Option

    Is Transport option included on every Package available in Barcelona?

    No.  The transport option is not included in Barcelona Attraction Pass, however hop on hop off bus (1 day) yes.

     

City Tour FAQ's

  • General information

    What is the service’s timetable?

    The first Barcelona City Tour buses begin their routes at 9:00 a.m. at different points of the city, such as Plaça Catalunya, the Sagrada Familia and Plaça Espanya, among others. You can find out more on the approximate times the first and last buses pass by different points on the information panels located at the bus stops. The last starting time for both routes is 8:00 p.m. from 1 April to 31 October and 7:00 p.m. from 1 November to 31 March, from Stop 1 on Plaça Catalunya.

    How long does each route take?

    The West Route takes around 2 hours. The East Route takes around 2 hours 20 minutes from 1 April to 31 October and 2 hours from 1 November to 31 March.

    How frequent is the bus service?

    Barcelona City Tour has a large fleet of buses that allows it to offer a service frequency of every 7 to 25 minutes, depending upon the season.

    Is there anyone on board who can provide information on the service?

    Yes, on all our buses there is a member of staff who can provide information in different languages and who will try to answer all your doubts about the Barcelona City Tour and recommend points of interest in the city and its surroundings. He or she can be found next to the stairs to the top deck and is also responsible for receiving passengers and checking their tickets.

    Where can I take the buses?

    You can board the bus at any of our stops. If you don’t already have a ticket, you can buy one on board.

    Where do the routes begin?

    The main stop for both routes is on Plaça Catalunya, in the city centre. However, you can catch the bus at any of the stops.

    Can I go and come back on the same bus?

    The Barcelona City Tour routes are circular, so you can return to the stop you began at or to any other stop at any time, but both circuits are always covered in the same direction. The Orange Route goes clockwise and the Green Route counter clockwise.

    Is there a stop close to the Barcelona cruise ship terminal?

    Yes there is Stop 5 on the Orange Route is at the World Trade Center, which lies close to the Port of Barcelona’s cruise ship terminal.

    How can I find the information about the service disruptions?

    We inform about the service disruptions, we recommend you visit the website the specific day you are going to use the service.

  • Our fleet of vehicles

    What are the buses like?

    All our buses are red in colour, double decker and feature an open-top upper deck. You enter all of them at the front and exit from the rear, except for wheelchair users, who enter via the rear door.

    How do I know which bus is doing which route?

    At the front of each vehicle is a digital panel indicating the route the bus is covering. The route is also identified on the each stop’s information column.

    Do the buses feature an audio guide?

    Yes, all our buses feature an automatic audio guide system in 12 languages: Catalan, Spanish, English, French, German, Italian, Russian, Hindi, Chinese, Dutch, Japanese and Portuguese. We’ll provide you with the headphones free of charge when you purchase your ticket: all you have to do is choose the channel for the language of your choice.

    Are the buses covered or do they have a roof?

    Most of our buses feature a sliding roof that is used only in the case of rain. If you wish, you can also travel on the air-conditioned/heated lower deck, bearing in mind that you must always sit in one of the available seats, for your own safety.

    Is there room for wheelchairs?

    All Barcelona City Tour buses feature an access ramp and room for wheelchairs. Each bus has a maximum capacity of 1 wheelchair.

  • Tickets and points of sale

    Can I change route on the same ticket?

    Yes, you can. The ticket is valid for both routes, and you can hop on and off at any stop, provided you show a valid ticket.

    Where can I buy tickets?

    Tickets can be purchased on any of our buses and at our different points of sale. We advise you to purchase your ticket via our website or our app, as you’ll get a 10% discount this way. All you have to do is go to a stop and show the document you receive by email after making the online purchase as you board the bus. Remember that you can present the voucher on paper or show it through your mobile phone.

    Is the ticket valid for one day or for 24 hours?

    The Barcelona City Tour ticket is valid for one or two consecutive days, as you choose and its validity fits with Barcelona City Tour schedule.

    If I buy a 2-day ticket, must the two days be consecutive?

    Yes, our 2-day tickets must be used consecutively: for example, today and tomorrow.

    Are there discounts for groups?

    We have special prices for large groups. For further details, contact us by email or telephone (details in our contact section).

    Are your buses available for private hire?

    Yes, we have special rates for private hire and we can also personalise the service offered. For further details, contact us by email or telephone (details in our contact section).

    Do you offer special rates for senior citizens?

    Yes, everyone aged over 65 can enjoy special prices. Check the conditions on our website or aboard the bus.

    Do you have a special rate for the disabled?

    Yes, we do. Everyone with a disability of 33% or more enjoys special prices. Check the conditions on our website or aboard the bus.

    From what age do children have to pay?

    Children aged up to and including 3 years of age travel free of charge. Between the ages of 4 and 12, inclusive, they pay the child rate and from 13 and up they are regarded as adults.

    How much do the tickets cost?

    You can check our prices on our website or on our mobile app, available free of charge from the iTunes and Google Play stores.

    Until when can I use my ticket?

    The 1-day tickets are valid for a single day, until the end of service on the purchase date. 2-day tickets are valid for two consecutive days, until the end of service on the day subsequent to the purchase date printed on the ticket.

    Should I print out the ticket(s) I bought online?

    It is not necessary. You can present the voucher on paper or show it through your mobile phone when you first board the bus, where it will be exchanged for a ticket and you will be provided with all the associated material.

    How can I request a discount voucher booklet?

    When you first board one of our buses and purchase or show your ticket, ask out staff for the Barcelona City Tour discount voucher booklet, which you can use until 31 December at a range of points of tourist interest, museums, restaurants, shops and many other outlets.

  • Rules and services

    Can I bring luggage on board?

    Our buses have no luggage storage. So, if you have luggage, it can only consist of small suitcases you can take with you and that do not take up any other seat, aisle space or emergency exits. We regret to say that large suitcases or packages are not allowed on board.

    Can I bring a baby buggy on board?

    Yes, but it must remain on the ground floor, folded if possible. It will be placed in the area set aside for wheelchairs, so disabled people shall have preference, meaning that you must remove the buggy if required.

    Do I have to bring my own headphones?

    There’s no need. When we hand over your ticket, you will also receive a set of headphones to listen to our automatic audio guide service. However, if you wish, you can bring your own headphones to connect to the bus’s system via its 3.5 mm mini-jack connector.

    Are there any specific safety rules for on-board travel?

    Given that the Barcelona City Tour is a service offered aboard moving buses, it is extremely important that you carefully follow all the safety rules indicated by our on-board staff and by the audio guide system. While travelling, you must not stand, eat, drink, smoke, have open umbrellas on the top deck or throw or extend any object out of the bus.

    Are animals allowed on board?

    With the exception of guide dogs, no animals or pets of any kind are permitted on board Barcelona City Tour buses.

    Do I enjoy priority boarding on the bus if I’ve already purchased my ticket?

    No. Everyone must wait in line to board at each of the stops, whether or not they already have a ticket.

    Can I smoke on the bus?

    No. Smoking is strictly prohibited aboard our buses.

    Does the Barcelona City Tour have a mobile app?

    Yes, we offer a free app for iOS and Android devices, which allows you to enjoy your trip by identifying in real time where you are, where you are heading and which points of interest you can visit, via its completely up-to-date multimedia content. It also features extremely useful tools, such as a closest stop search and augmented reality. You can download the Barcelona City Tour App from the iTunes and Google Play stores.

    Is there the possibility of going on optional excursions?

    Yes. The Julià Travel agency offers numerous excursions to stunning destinations such as Sitges, Girona, Figueres, the Sagrada Familia and the mountain of Montserrat, among many others. Our Barcelona City Tour staff will be pleased to provide you with more information aboard our buses, where you can also benefit from discounts and other deals.

  • Problem solving

    I’ve lost my ticket. What can I do?

    Unfortunately, you can only board the bus with a valid ticket, and its loss or theft does not give rise to any entitlement to replacement or refund. Not other forms of payment receipt or reused vouchers are accepted. Once you have acquired your ticket, you must keep it, as you must be able to show it both when boarding the bus and during routine checks. It is the customer’s responsibility to prove that he or she has been supplied with a ticket and, if this has not happened, to ask for one from our on-board staff when making the purchase.

    Do you have a lost property office?

    Where can I send a complaint about the service?
