Ajuntament de Barcelona

The City Hall, the building housing the headquarters of Barcelona City Council is to be found in the historical heart of the city, in the Plaça Sant Jaume, opposite the Palau de la Generalitat, home to the Government of Catalonia. The main façade seen today dates from 1847, although the building's origins go back to 1369, when work began on the Saló de Cent hall, marking the starting point of the Council's history.
